This early Bowie Knife has a beautiful swan pommel and a contoured leather handle with nice shaped blade and brass guard. This is the only swan pommel knife I have ever seen and one of the best Bowie Knives I have ever owned. The swan is a symbol of loyalty and self- strength. Wonderful Bowie knife in excellent condition with all original patina made by a very talented bladesmith. Probably the last quarter of the 18th century. Overall 16 1/2″ with 11″ Blade
