Beautiful F & I War Spontoon – Knife
Spontoon – knife from F & I War era that was shaped by a blacksmith to become a pole spontoon or a belt knife. It was found near the site of a French Fort Leboeuf along the Allegheny River south of Erie, PA. Found by Calvin Thomas, Greenville, PA. Great condition and very desirable F & I War collectible. 16 3/8″ overall with 12″ knife shaped blade that is 1 1/4″ wide at the widest point.
