Edmund Pendleton Silver Cup and Excavated Artifacts

Excavated silver cup from the site of Edmund Pendleton’s home, Edmundsbury, in Caroline County, Virginia. Edmund Pendleton served his country as a Virginia stateman where he was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, the Continental Congress, and he served as Chairman of the Virginia Committee of Safety during the Revolutionary War. He was a favorite son of Caroline County, Virginia.

Excavated (wrapped in cloth in an 18th century porcelain container) by Hardy Dunnington, Bowling Green, Virginia while detecting at the site of Edmundsbury, in Caroline County with Gordon Barlow, Bowling Green, Virginia (1968)
