Colonial bible and hand forged double blade frontier ax that belonged to Jacob Camper, Wytheville, VA. Jacob Wachs Camper was born on 16 November 1807, in Fincastle, Botetourt, Virginia. His father, James Camper, was 47 and his mother, Christina Wachs, was 29. He married Martha Patsy Camp on 25 May 1829, in Wythe, Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 9 May 1839, in Wytheville, Wythe County, Virginia, United States, at the age of 31.
