Classic Southern Hunting Pouch with Bone Tip Powder Horn

This wonderful southern hunting pouch has a bone spout powder horn. It is a single compartments pouch with nice wide shoulder strap with a roller buckle. This hunting pouch is made of cow skin and the10” flat is lined and retains most of it original cow hair. The fantastic flap end with a 3” hand-sewn rattlesnake decoration.

This unique hand-made rattlesnake decoration is application on this type I have ever encountered.

The powder horn is 13” around the curve. The pine butt plug is lathe turned and fastened to the horn with hand forged / filed screws. This powder horn is fitted with an iron pinned bone tip which a southern feature.

This beautiful cow hide hunting pouch has an extra wide shoulder strap. The hunting pouch is 7 1/2’ x 8” and has a 10″ applied flap that has been meticulously adorned with a rattlesnake decoration. The face of the bag retains most of it original hair.

This classic set is an outstanding southern style shoulder-slung hunting pouch with shoulder strap was crafted from thick cow skin, forged flintlock touch hole pick, and a leather scabbard and fighting blade with pine grip attached to the back of the hunting pouch.
