Revolutionary War era pewter serving bowl owned by Benjamin Kidd, Caroline County, Virginia (top engraved BK – 1782). Kidd enlisted as a private in the Continental Line on or about December 1777 in Essex Co VA and served out his term of 3 years as a Matross of Artillery. According to the Kidd family this pewter serving bowl was hammered by a tinsmith working for William Macon in Hanover County, Virginia.
