Excellent Revolutionary War wood and forged metal lock from Rising Sun Tavern, Fredericksburg, VA. It was built in about 1760 as a home by Charles Washington, youngest brother of George Washington, as a Washington home and then became a tavern in 1792 until well into the 19th century.
