Forged broad ax (ca 1774) unearthed at the site of the Battle of Point Pleasant where Fort Blair was built by the Virginia militia who were assigned by Colonel Andrew Lewis to build and occupy Fort Blair immediately following the Battle of Point Pleasant on October 10, 1774.  Found by Foster Burns, Churchville, Virginia.

Wonderful artifact.
