Decorated Pipe Tomahawk

Forged Contemporary Pipe Tomahawk made and decorated by Wayne Watson (deceased).

This is perhaps the finest decorated pipe tomahawk every made. A wonderful curly maple haft is inlaid with gold petals and silver leaves to create a floral pattern along an inlayed silver vine. Each inlaid pedal and leaf are nicely engraved. There is a gold turtle inlaid and engraved on the haft.

The pipe tomahawk head was forged by Bill Keeler, Beaver Bill Forge, Hamilton, Ohio and has his forged mark. The shaping, finish work, decorated inlay and engraving is done in gold and silver by Wayne Watson. The bowl is made with an iron spring hinged cap and the mouthpiece is made of pewter which is fashioned and engraved as the head of a serpent.

This very fine tomahawk is signed Wayne Watson #1 on the bottom edge of the tomahawk head, noting that this is the 1^st decorated pipe tomahawk that he made.
