Forged Iron Bowl

This is a heavy iron bowl that I believe is forged (not sure). I is well made with an edge that is shaped with 8 sides. Measure 10 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ and is 2 1/2″ deep. heavy – maybe 5 lbs!

What was it used for? I have no idea but it is neat and a blacksmith took a lot of time to make it. Found in Henry County, Virginia.

Condition original rust patina with hole in bottom .. so if you want to eat soup you will need to repair the whole!
